Refund policy

RETURNS AND EXCHANGE POLICY


Due to hygiene rules, regulations and safety policies, returns or refunds for hair that has been taped, installed, washed, colored, cut, chemically treated or altered in any way ARE NOT accepted.  No exceptions will be made. Please inspect your order before installing and contact us immediately if an item is defective, damaged, or you received the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Tape and remover NOT eligible for returns or exchanges. 

DIY Hair Extensions is not responsible for the correct color match, so please understand prior to purchasing hair that you assume full responsibility in choosing your color. Our responsibility is to deliver the color(s) ordered by you. When purchasing our products, you are accepting these terms:

1. Unless the product is shipped incorrectly, you are responsible for shipping charges to and from
DIY Hair Extensions, as well as a 10% restocking fee. A refund will be issued to your original payment method after your return has been approved.  We do not charge a 10% restocking fee to exchange an item. The 10% restocking fee applies only if you are returning any item for a refund. Unless DIY Hair Extensions made a shipping error, shipping is non-refundable. 
For repairs, customers are responsible for the shipping costs.

2. We allow a ONE time color exchange for hair extensions ONLY if the item is in the original condition and in the original packaging. The item must not have been in contact with ANYTHING. Shipping costs are non-refundable and the buyer assumes all return shipping costs. NO COLOR EXCHANGE FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING, ONLY RETURN.

3. The item MUST be in the original packaging, NOT USED, or DAMAGED in any way nor have had any contact with perfume or cigarette smoke. No wrinkling or folding of the product is accepted.


4. To return or exchange extensions for a different color: YOU MUST SEND US EXTENSIONS BACK WITHIN 14 DAYS OF DELIVERY. If it is past 14 days you may not make an exchange or receive a refund.

5. The buyer is responsible for shipping the item back to DIY Hair Extensions within 14 days from delivery date. All shipping will be paid by the buyer.

6. It is your responsibility to make sure andress information is accurate when placing an order or returning the extensions. Any mailing address mistakes on your part are not the responsibility of DIY Hair Extensions.

If the address was entered incorrectly at checkout and you need us to change it, we’ll do our best to update it. However, we can’t guarantee the change, as sometimes the system doesn’t update the address, and the order may still be shipped to the original address.



7. All deliveries over $150 will require a signature. If you are not there to sign for your package you will most likely be left a notice to pick it up from your local post office or delivery service.

8. Tracking confirmation is provided on all orders.

9. DIY Hair Extensions is not responsible for late lost or damaged packages in the mail. This is a matter for the USPS Postal or Delivery Service. We do not provide refunds for late, lost or damagedpackages.

10. Shipping charges are non-refundable. You are responsible for any additional shipping charges during an exchange. If you return an item for a ONE time exchange, please include with your email a note explaining which items you wish to receive in exchange, the date your order was placed online, the original order number,  along with your email address. Exchanges will be sent to the original shipping address.

Please note: Shedding and tape issues are not covered if caused by improper installation, harsh removal, or incorrect re-taping. Our extensions are made with gentle wefts and require careful handling during application, removal, and reapplication.



12. By agreeing to our terms and conditions you understand that there is a refund offered on the original purchase only. After an exchange, refunds will no longer be possible. You may email us at contact@diyhairextensions.com for further information.


13. When ordering from DIY Hair Extensions you are agreeing to all Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all Terms and Conditions, please do not order.
